Groundskeeper/Maintenance

Description:

Cleveland Construction, Inc. is seeking a Groundskeeper/General Maintenance person for our office and owner properties in Charlotte. The successful candidate will have a valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and be able to pass a preemployment drug screen.

Grounds maintenance responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lawn Maintenance/Mowing
• Trimming
• Edging
• Blowing
• Weed Control
• Spray Applications
• Seasonal Clean up
• Plant Installation
• Shrubbery Pruning
• Mulch Installation
• Tree Pruning

General maintenance will include, but not limited to:

• Sweeping/Mopping/Vacuuming as necessary
• Cleaning trucks (both inside and out)
• Maintaining parking areas
• Trash collection and removal
• Operates warehouse equipment, including forklift (will certify) to place products and materials in proper place
• Driving non-CDL trucks and trailers
• Load and log materials onto truck and makes notation of returned materials
• Manual labor as needed
• Responsible to ensure warehouse is safe and accessible and complies with OSHA guidelines and Company safety policies and procedures
• Coordinate deliveries
• Other duties as necessary

Skills Required:

Candidates should possess the following:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Mechanical aptitude
  • Basic electrical
  • Basic plumbing
  • Basic HVAC
• Working at heights

Physical Demands

Candidates must be able to:

• Lift up to 75lbs
• Bend, twist and turn body at shoulders, waist, knees to handle materials.
• Stand for extended periods of time on concrete floor.
• Work in a warehouse environment, but not limited to working in office or outside.
• Adapt to weather conditions as needed.
