Cleveland Construction is seeking a dependable, hard-working Safety Manager to join our commercial Construction TEAM! Cleveland Construction is a national contractor with a small family company feel. As the Safety Manager, you will provide support and direction to the field to ensure all Project Managers and Superintendents are promoting safety. This position not only monitors adherence to regulatory requirements, but also oversees and assists in implementing programs and initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform safety audits of the job sites to ensure compliance to all Corporate, Site-Specific as well as all Federal, State and Local requirements.
  • Investigate all safety hazards and work closely with management at all levels to resolve any safety issues.
  • Ensure that all recommendations for safety improvements are made in a timely manner.
  • Complete and submit all safety visit documentation as required.
  • Drive and instill a group culture of safety that embraces continuous improvement.
  • Review documentation of Near Misses, First Aid, and Recordable Injuries - develop and enhance training's to ensure all Near Misses/First Aids do not turn into future recordables.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION

  • OSHA 30 Required - 500 Outreach Trainer Preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a safety professional
  • Ability to travel - 60% - 75%
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Pass E-Verify
  • Ability to pass in-depth Government criminal/financial background checks (Project Specific)
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication (Bi-Lingual a plus)
  • Organizational skills

COMPUTER / TECHNOLOGY

  • Must have excellent computer skills
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers including iPad/tablet device
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Various Construction Management Software types, etc.
  • Working knowledge of uploading and managing web-based document storage

PAY
$50,000+
